STAREAST

PreEmptive Solutions (www.preemptive.com), a leading provider of solutions to measure, manage and protect applications, today announced the immediate availability of PreEmptive Analytics for TFS V1.0. PreEmptive Analytics for TFS monitors and analyzes production exceptions and, using extensible rules, automatically creates work items inside Microsoft Team Foundation Server closing the loop between development and operations.

PreEmptive Analytics for TFS is the first application analytics solution to:

  • Support heterogeneous, distributed monitoring across the .NET framework (including Windows Phone and Windows Azure), Java (including Android), and native Windows (C++ applications),
  • Provide a repository that can be installed on-premises or hosted inside Windows Azure,
  • Include automatic and intelligent analysis of incoming exceptions over time to identify material production events while eliminating information overload,
  • Automatically create work items inside Microsoft Team Foundation Server ensuring coordination and alignment with ongoing development, test, and operations priorities and practices, and
  • Accelerate safe and secure implementations through “injection,” eliminating the need to modify source code or recompile an application.

“The emergence of cloud, mobile, and rich Internet platforms has made it virtually impossible to simulate production,” said Sebastian Holst, CMO PreEmptive Solutions. “Now, with PreEmptive Analytics for TFS, development, test and operations have near real-time visibility into application usage and stability.”

Industry and thought leaders already on record regarding the importance and potential of this solution include:

  • Sam Guckenheimer, Group Product Planner for Visual Studio at Microsoft who said “Software teams recognize that they need to think of the whole lifecycle, involve their stakeholders, and apply modern, agile engineering practices. The pressure to increase transparency, reduce waste, and improve flow of value is more intense than ever. PreEmptive Analytics for TFS demonstrates both the impact that feedback driven development can have and the powerful and extensible capabilities of the Visual Studio platform,” and
  • Claude Remillard, co-founder of InCycle Software - a leading firm providing ALM consulting services who said “The ability to encode and automate ALM responses to production application use is an exciting addition to the growing practice of feedback driven development. We are already seeing client interest in PreEmptive’s solution and we are looking forward to helping our clients get the most out of this promising and innovative technology.”

Pricing will start at $4,000 USD for a development team of 10. For more information, visit http://www.preemptive.com/products/patfs/overview.
